If I remember correctly, there have been studies on dating sites showing there are usually more men than women, which already makes things tougher. Also, it’s been reported that women tend to only swipe or message around 10% of men they consider high quality, while everyone else rarely, if ever, gets a message or finds a match. After a while, people just stop trying because nothing seems to work.
