Hi,

Someone responded in a lovely email to Aspie Singles. I will post it here:

“I found this site to possibly recommend to my (adult) son, and was exploring the Forum a bit, and wanted to answer a question, but I am not a member.

About 2 weeks ago, someone asked about fictional books with characters with Asperger’s, and 2 immediately came to mind. They are both well regarded, and I thought perhaps you would like to mention them in the Forum question:

1. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, by Mark Haddon (Mystery)
2. Mockingbird, by Kathryne Erskine (grades 5-6)

Neither book is about Asperger’s – just the main character happens to perceive and live life atypically, and they are good reads. Interestingly enough, both books came to me through “regular channels,” and not at all because I have an son with Asperger’s.

OK – that’s all, and best wishes in your important mission!

Lori”
