Autism Dating – Front page › Forums › Dating with Asperger’s › Article: Friendship Won’t Fix the Male Loneliness Epidemic
I just think it’s an interesting and useful article, and I can relate to it. It’s focused on men who seek intimate relationships with women but I think some of it is relevant to androphilic men too.

Basically the article says that friendship doesn’t stop men from feeling lonely because
1. social norms relating to men expressing emotions prevent platonic intimacy, and
2. men need to feel sexually and romantically desired.
The autistic twist on the subject would be: not having the social energy for friends and a romantic relationship, and therefore having to choose between them. Or being interested in only one and struggling to get that one.
