BradParticipantSharing My Experiences With Spectrum-Focused Dating Platforms
(Posting this to help others stay safe and avoid wasting time or money.)
Platform: Autistic-dating.comStatus: Appears to be a scam / uses website redirects / heavy bot activity / very shady support practices.
After creating a profile (even using images and a bio openly stating the site looked like a scam), I was contacted by several obvious bots. You can’t read any messages unless you pay which seems to be the whole point.
Support removed the “delete account” button, forcing me to contact them directly. During that time, they altered my profile to make it look more positive for their own purposes, and still didn’t remove it when I requested. I repeatedly uploaded photos labeled “scam” until they finally got tired and deleted my account.
After eight years on dating platforms, this was the only time I ever received “messages” and they weren’t real.
From what I’ve seen, anything following this template with “-dating.com” in the name tends to be a rebranded copy of the same setup.
Recommendation: Avoid.Platform: Special Bridge
Status: Completely inactive.
I was a member for three years. There were almost no new users during that entire time and the community was basically dead. They also removed the delete account button; it took them two weeks to remove my profile manually.
Platform: Hiki AppStatus: Used to be promising, but went downhill fast.
I used Hiki back when it was free. It felt more like social media, topic discussions, local search, humor threads and it had potential. I had fun at times (including some intense meme wars), but there were always long stretches where the app simply didn’t work: no MFA codes, app not loading, and long periods of downtime.
Users could also get extremely hostile or political. I avoided the public wall after seeing arguments escalate, including one thread where a person on the spectrum asked if they should become a sex worker and the majority encouraged it. I wouldn’t recommend this app for younger or vulnerable users.
Then the “rug pull” most of the community left.
Starting in Nov 2024, the developer began flooding the store with clearly fake 5-star reviews, bringing the score up from 1.2 to 3.4.Subscription is now about $40/month, which is unrealistic for a community where many are on fixed incomes.
The business model seems unsustainable, and many users have already publicly shared negative experiences (see Reddit, app reviews, etc.).
Repairing the app’s reputation would probably require a full rebrand. When the investors pull out this platform is cooked.
Platform: Aspie-Singles.com
Status: Legit and privacy-respecting, but extremely small.
This platform is free, requires no billing info, collects no biometric data, and actually has a solid privacy policy. Users are polite and there’s no toxic behavior that I’ve seen.
The downside:
Many accounts are inactive (3+ years).
You may not find anyone local.
Still, the people there are real which is more than I can say for most platforms I’ve tried.
App: HaikStatus: Very new; feels like a Hiki clone.
They seem to want to offer similar features at a lower price point. I plan to revisit in ~6 months. At the moment, the profiles look almost too polished (perfect teeth, perfect photos) in a way that doesn’t feel representative of typical neurodivergent dating spaces. Not enough data yet to call it safe.
App: Udolly
Status: Cannot evaluate.
Tried signing up in 2023, 2024, and 2025 — the app simply wouldn’t create an account due to persistent technical issues.Hope some of these were helpful. I

Member for two years. No new users during that time. Existing users seem legit, what I would expect to find in a dating site designed for spaced like us. But, it’s been quite for years.

Outsider9777ParticipantIt’s so ironic. This is the only disability dating site I’ve found that doesn’t charge us men permission to talk to girls but there is next to zero participation from women here. It’s amazing that there are websites that think it’s OK to charge us people with disabilities when we have everything working against us when it comes to finding love.
