Hey i wonder if anyone has any thoughts on the concept of dating and relationships for when it comes to people who have
intense interests.
I am one of those Asperger’s who has intense interests, I also like a lot of time to myself.
So was trying to work out a way to date but with the idea of not having a normal relationship.
Or finding a partner who not only understands Asperger Syndrome but also has a compatible
intense interest themselves.
🙂
Hi! I tend to be very passionate & intense about things, AND was married to a moderate Aspie for 23 years until his death. I’m 57, so I don’t know how many Aspies are here in their late 40’s to 50’s.
I think one of the perks of asper to asper dating is the given assumption that both people will want a healthy amount of time to themselves.
sure i can understand that
i like a lot of down time to myself
to de-stress
but also to get on with my own areas of interest
but also
because i sleep more than normal people
and because i am hypersensitive and Take in more info
than most people
so need more time to process the information that i encounter
and find a balance with every day living
